Tithing

I have been setting aside some First Tithe recently to my HSBC UK account.  I intend to save there until such time as it becomes clear where to transfer the funds to Church.  At the moment, the Church is in disarray and not at all unified in purpose.   This needs to change.  However, as of 1 December I will stop tithing on my benefits as welfare payments are low and meant for the needy - every pound or dollar counts when you are on the breadline.  You also do not need tithe on your pension. Regarding Second Tithe however, I aim to save up on my ESA payments towards, hopefully, a trip to Paris for the Feast next year.  I will have to be disciplined about my saving - otherwise it will another year keeping the Feast at home in Stockton-on-Tees. This is also my Third Tithe year, a time give an extra 10% to those in need. But that includes me!  So I will only give where I am able, and as my finances permit - in other words with the a pound here and there.

Dear Mum

Hi Mum!  I've just looked through cards and postcards, school reports and photos you kindly kept for me. I was quite emotional!  I miss you, but look forward to seeing you again one day.  They  are happy memories.  Some nice pictures of Dad & Daniel too, and cards from my brother. My finances are pretty tight at the moment.  I am doing my best to be careful with my money.  In the morning, I will go to Stockton town centre.  I have an eye appointment which I May need to pay for.  Depending on how much it costs, I will then look around the shops.  Do you remember when we used to go shopping together?  I loved those times together.  Re: the grant to remove the mould from my bathroom, I have decided to put off applying for it until April. Aunty Lynne told me that is the best time to clean it. Remember I love you mum.  I always did and always will! Stefan Rigby (Ludgate)

Thanksgiving

I wish all families in the USA now celebrating, a Happy Thanksgiving - where they are genuinely giving due thanks to the LORD for the blessings He Gives.  May your glasses be full and you enjoy meat at the table.

Rainbow Flag

The Rainbow Flag symbolises God's promise NOT to flood the Earth again Qatar.  I understand your objection to homosexuality but please go easy on the British and American Teams!
