 The UK Government should abandon its plans to extend HS2 beyond Birmingham, to Manchester, due to significant cost overruns.  The Nation simply cannot afford it at present. The main purpose of the Euston-Birmingham section will be to safely evacuate as many people as possible from London in the event of London being bombed.

 Government has to LEAD and show INITIATIVE with the public - not the other way round! It should NETWORK !

 ... should go back to selling fridges, rather than pushing Xmas decorations on the public when it's only September !

 It is TIME The West sued for Peace with Russia in its war over Ukraine. The risk of nuclear war is too high at present! It is also time to rebuild Ukraine with as much private equity help as it can muster.

The Bank of England should NOT increase the base rate when it meets this Thursday 21 September 2023. The UK economy is on the brink of a recession, and a hike in interest rates would 'push it over the edge'. Instead, we should take a moment to pause and reflect.

North Sea Oil Rigs should be abandoned with IMMEDIATE effect due to concerns about Global Heating!  They should not be re-opened again until at least 2050.

 This year's UN COP28 Meeting in the UAE is the world's LAST CHANCE to come to an agreement  on national commitments to 2030 GHG emission goals.  The cost of failure is War.

 Dear PM Rishi Sunak, Michael Gove and Therese Coffey, At this weekend's G20 Meeting in India, the UK should push for a G20-wide Carbon Tax to replace VAT. It is high time we started to tackle carbon pollution which is driving Global Heating.
